On Tuesday, September 30^th, 2025, Sami passed away at the Christchurch Hospital aged 79 years, surrounded by his wife and children. He was a dearly loved husband to Sonia, father to Hayssam, Sam and Myriam and Jiddo (Grandfather) to Siena, Eden and Jonah.

To celebrate Sami’s beautiful life, we will be gathering for a Requiem Mass at St Gregory’s Catholic Church, 26 Cotswold Avenue, Bishopdale on Monday October 6 at 11.00am.
